What SCENT OF WATER signify

 JOB 14:7-9

 A lot of people have asked me why our institution is called SCENT OF WATER NIGERIA. I have tried to explain to them and illustrate how God showed us that He chose that name for Himself. But as I as doing my own study of the scripture and I want to share with you the revelation I was privileged to get.

The verse of scripture reads:
"7 For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.

8 Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;

9 Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.
"

As you can see, the scripture is supposed to be self-explanatory. But the term "SCENT OF WATER" might not be vividly understood.

You know that "scent" means the original odour of any substance. the scripture above is best illustrate as thus:

For there is hope for a very hungry person when there is not sign of food within a mile away. though he had been hungry for days, and it all he could expect was when death would come and take him to beyond. Though he was very weak that he has not stood up from the place where he lay for over six days now;
but when aroma of a delicious fried rice is perceived from afar, he would immediately comfort himself that he still can live again.

And you know that water in the word of God speaks of knowledge. And the word of God also asserts that people get easily destroyed because of the lack of knowledge. But when knowledge begin to expose you to some hidden truth about the possible change of your situation, you cannot help but to be hopeful that it is coming to an end.

...and thine expectation shall not be cut short.
I know that Nigeria will become a nation of envy again if we can embrace knowledge like the scent of water to a thirsty soul.

God bless you!
